About Michael

Michael Bassolino is Fashion Consultant in Tampa and Image Consultant in Miami. He provides personal styling and personal shopping services for men and women of all ages, backgrounds, and professional levels. He discovered his career in styling when family and friends repeatedly called upon him for fashion advice. Michael began his profession in Tampa Bay and now provides fashion consulting services in South Florida, Miami, New York and Los Angeles. His expansive client list consists of everyone from soccer moms to professional athletes.

Michael's Mission

With your input, Michael Bassolino will design a fashion style that will fit both your personal and professional lifestyle. Rather than imposing his own taste, Michael focuses on all your physical and spiritual qualities, creating a look that is timeless, practical, and consistent with your personality. Michael's approach to styling is lighthearted and nonjudgmental resulting in a fun, stress free experience.

 

How it Works:

Defining Your Style

In the privacy of your home, Michael will help you go through your current wardrobe to see what is, and is not working for you. Unlike some of the popular style TV shows, Michael is not flamboyant or condescending, nor does he throw all your existing clothes in a trash bag. Instead, he will sit and talk with you to find out what your shopping habits are, as well as your fashion likes and dislikes. After getting to know you a bit, Michael will help you discover what colors work with your complexion, determine your body type, and finally, help you to define a style that is all your own!

Organizing Your Wardrobe

This isn't just a shopping spree, there's preparation involved! This means refining your wardrobe by eliminating (or altering) clothes that do not fit properly, out of style, or do not reflect your true character. From there, Michael will help you invent new looks for all seasons and occasions by using the clothes that you already have. Remember, this process isn't all about shopping for an entire new wardrobe, or going out and buying expensive designer brands. It's about practicality and simplifying your life, which includes organizing your wardrobe.

The Carefree Shopping Experience

Now that your closet and wardrobe are organized, it will make it easier for Michael to see what clothes, shoes, and accessories are needed to fill in the gaps. From there, both of you will work together to create a "shopping list". Once the list is completed, Michael will pre-select (put on hold) your outfits from department stores and/or boutiques that compliment your new style. This pre-selection is usually done one day prior to you shopping with him. When you meet Michael in the store the next day, your outfits will be waiting for you in the fitting room to try on. At that point, Michael will help you decide what works and what doesn't, and then make adjustments accordingly. This saves you time, and eliminates the stress of having to walk around the stores for hours in search of clothes!

Your Personal Outfit Book

Michael understands that it is sometimes difficult to maintain the look he has put together for you. As a solution, he can create a personalized outfit book or CD, that you may use as a reference when coordinating a look for that day, evening, or occasion. The book consists of photographed pictures for each coordinated outfit, paired with suggestions by category and specific related notes.

Celebrity Shopping Experience

The Celebrity Shopping Experience is great for "girl's day out," mother and daughter retreats, bridal party activities, and for those who just need a day of pampering! The morning begins with Michael picking you up in a Limousine and stealing you away to a top luxury spa and salon. Once you arrive at the spa, you'll be escorted to a tranquil room for your full body massage followed by hair and makeup. You'll leave the spa glowing as the limo chauffeurs you to your favorite restaurant for lunch. There, you and Michael can talk about life and fashion. Then, with your favorite glass of wine or champagne in hand, the limo will steal you away to some of the most fabulous shopping boutiques and stores in Miami, Palm Beach, and Tampa. Michael will escort you on your fashion excursion, helping you pick out anything from a David Yurman bracelet to this season's Prada. You will truly feel like a movie star!
